“The whole process of mental adjustment and attunement can be summed up in one word – GRATITUDE.” – Wallace D. Wattles (The Science of Getting Rich)
Every success you achieve in life will be short-lived and fleeting without maintaining an attitude of gratitude for what you have received. Everything that comes to us is a result of certain universal, non-physical laws that are even more powerful and absolute than the physical laws that govern our world, like the law of gravity.
It is said that if you visualize your heart’s desires and hold them on the screen of your mind with your will and then back your desire with faith and expectancy, that which you desire cannot fail but manifest in your life at the appropriate time through the harmonious interworkings of the Law of Attraction.
Gratitude and belief are intimately linked – gratitude is the natural result of belief (some call it “faith”). Gratitude is an attitude that hooks us up to our source of supply.
The thing is, it’s so easy to ask for help when times are tough, when we need guidance or support, but how often do we stop and truly express our heartfelt gratitude for all the wonderful things that have been placed in our life when things are going well?
So, how do you get yourself hooked up to your source of supply and maintain this attitude of gratitude? The best way we know is by starting each day with a “Gratitude List.” It is a fantastic way to start each day in a very positive vibration.
Here’s the idea: First, you list 10 things that you are profoundly grateful for – it could be your staff, your spouse, your kids, your friends, your pets, that multimillion dollar contract that is on its way to you in the next year – that’s right, you can absolutely be grateful for things that haven’t even manifested in your life yet!! Then, just sit quietly for five minutes and ask for guidance for the day – you may be surprised by what happens!!
