“Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal” – Earl Nightingale

Let’s think for a moment about the New Years’ Resolutions made in past years and why they haven’t become realities.  Most of the typical New Years’ Resolutions are all about what you think you should do.  Stop smoking?  Start exercising?  Eat healthily? More work/life balance?  These all sound good on the surface, but typically a resolution is based on what you think you should be doing, rather than what you really want to be doing.  Too often, resolutions are decided upon by looking at other people’s expectations or by reading a magazine that tells you how to ‘get fit by summer’.  Nonsense – forget about what you or other people think you ought to be doing and look at what you really want.

When you’re focusing on something that you really WANT – when there’s a real burning desire to make it happen – then you will be committed.  Your commitment will get you through the tough times when obstacles would otherwise derail your efforts.

While you’re contemplating what you want to accomplish in 2013, dust off your imagination and come up with a goal that really gets your juices flowing – something that is big and beautiful and that you really want BAD!!  Forget about “shoulds” and “have tos” – there is no inspiration or motivation in those, so why waste your time?.  Instead, THIS year, create a vision for 2013 that excites you, one that you can fully commit to – even if you have no idea how you’re going to make it happen.

At Cheslow Achievement Group we have a whole array of programs and tools to help you step boldly into the New Year and make your dreams realities!!
