Deb Cheslow Consulting, is hosting the inaugural Remarkable River Run 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, September 20, starting at 7:00 a.m. at Aunt Catfish’s on the River.
All proceeds from the event benefit Building Remarkable Communities One Mind at a Time, the company’s signature initiative focused on combating domestic violence and abuse in our communities, and will be used locally to provide resources and desperately needed funding to support survivors of abuse and their children.
“Our goal is to overwhelmingly surpass our race participant’s expectations for a 5K race,” remarks Deb Cheslow, CEO of Deb Cheslow Consulting. “We have an incredible morning planned, including the run itself, followed by a catered breakfast buffet (provided by Aunt Catfish’s on the River), and a high-energy after party with music, raffles, awards, vendors, and more. It’s going to be a tremendous community event that will benefit a very worthy cause.”
The flat, USATF-certified 5K course winds alongside the Halifax River, starting and ending at Aunt Catfish’s on the River. The cost to enter the run/walk is $25 through Tuesday, July 15; $35 between Wednesday, July 16, and Friday, September 19; $40 on the morning of the race. The first 200 people registering will receive a high-performance race shirt; all other participants registering on or before Monday, September 1 receive a cotton race t-shirt.
