Meredith Atwood (aka Swim Bike Mom) is a wife, mother, former-attorney, author, coach, and IRONMAN triathlete. Her blog (www.SwimBikeMom.com) is wildly popular among women and men who love to (or want to) swim, bike and run. Her blog offers a very raw, real account of her successes, failures, and struggles. She is a sought-after mentor as well as a speaker for triathlon clubs and women’s groups nationwide. She is a USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach, Youth and Junior Certified Coach, and Spinning Instructor, and coaches women from beginners to Iron distance levels. She is a regular contributor to Triathlete Magazine.
Meredith approached us with the concept of collaborating on a series of short, high-impact, high-value “online events” addressing various aspects of mental toughness. The Your Brave Mind events will be hosted in Facebook groups and will start on a Monday and finish on Friday. Each day will include a “lesson,” a Facebook Live video from Meredith and/or me, plus you can ask whatever questions you may have in the group. So, 5 days to greater understanding about the critical topics related to mental toughness. Angie and I are incredibly excited about this new series!
Our first Your Brave New Mind event will cover the topic of, what else, LOGIC – The Bully in Your Brain and will kick off on Monday, May 8th.
The Bully in Your Brain is that little voice that speaks to you whenever you try to step outside of the box, tackle new challenges, or make a significant change in your life. Everyone has that voice, it’s just that some bullies are much louder and meaner than others. In only 5 days you will gain the awareness (and tools) you need to tame the bully in your brain. You will discover:
What (or who) the bully is
Why listening to the bully is the absolute worst thing we can do if we want to change an area of our life
How the bully got its voice
Why the bully is so mean
Why making the decision to change will never be enough
How to actually change the conversation with the bully in your brain
You don’t have to be a triathlete or exercise at all to get tremendous benefit from these events.
Join us in this 5 day group – for less than the cost of a daily coffee – to start to learn the process to changing the course of your life–to where you want it to go.
